To strengthen the Specialty Chemicals sales team, Chevron Phillips Company is looking for an
based in Diegem
You are responsible for every aspect of sales and promotion of Specialty Chemical products in an assigned territory. This role will be responsible to look for existing and new product applications in line with Product Line objectives and strategy. You report to the EMEA Specialty Chemicals Manager.
Main responsibilities
- You develop the business in the region through hunting and farming, and introducing new product applications to existing and potential customers.
- You visit clients on a regular basis (travel estimated at around 40%), identify & develop new customers, negotiate prices and contracts.
- You create quotations and forward them for approval to PL Manager according to the related procedures.
- You provide service support, complaint handling and problem solving in case of issues and questions.
- You ensure that all requests from customers are handled in due time, including administrative follow-up of sales.
- You coach and manage local distributors by giving relevant information & sales strategy.
- You Provide all necessary information and direction to CSR’s to enable them to carry out their job effectively.
- You monitor regional market intelligence, identify industry trends / competitive activity, supply and demand, pricing trends, political & economic conditions, etc. with the management and colleagues.
- You prepare forecasts; provide progress reports and accurate input for annual sales budgets.
- You apply personal safe work practices and promotion of Operational Excellence (OE) principles in fulfillment of all duties.
- You assist with the collection of any necessary customer financial information, ensure the use of proper payment instruments and are responsible for the collection.
- You represent the CP Chem Specialty Chemicals product line at fairs and trade shows.
Your profile
- You hold a degree in chemistry or equivalent by experience.
- You have several years of experience as Key Account/ Global Account or Junior Area Sales Manager.
- You are result oriented, structured, well organized.
- You have strong negotiation and communication skills and are willing to learn continuously.
- Track record in driving the sales process by negotiating/closing sustainable new business.
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, Vendavo, CRM and transaction processes
- You are open to travel 40% of the time
- Fluent in English, other European languages are an asset (such as German, French, Dutch, any other language from an Eastern European country is a strong asset).
- You are able and willing to commute to our EA HQ in Diegem on a regular basis.
